IMA SpA is located in near Bologna, Italy with worldwide presence & operations.  Their business is machines for packaging coffee, tea, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals. The company sales are about 1.5B Euros. They have operations around the world. Customers include Unilever, Novartis, Bigelow.
 
The CTO is visiting MIT Nov 5 and 6.  He's interested in meeting robotics startups to improve their manufacturing process - reduce cost, increase speed, output.
 
Focus: robotics for repetitive tasks: mainly material feeding. Need to consider cost, speed, safety for operators working with robots.
